Headed out of Denver
Well Hannah has left us, and we don’t know what to do! Well ok so the trip will continue but Hannah you will be/are missed. Ok so since Denver basically we road and camped and road and camped and sat at a BMW dealer waiting for them to replace a seal. So we got a late, late start out of Denver after wandering around and saying our goodbyes to Hannah we headed west straight into the setting sun. we headed out 70 to 40 and into the mountains. We climbed up a massive mountain pass, laban was almost out of fuel and the only town close was shut down for the night. After what was possibly the rockiest offroading yet, we went past a dozen warning signs about not using firearm or road closed signs. And it kept getting colder. We ended up finding a place by a reservoir.

It was a windy brisk night. We guessed we camped at around 10,000 feet. Up above us on the mountain we could see the tree line. I set my hammock up on the ground thinking it would be warmer. Well it was warmer but I didn’t sleep well because my neck wasn’t working out. Anyways we got up and continued up and over the Rockies, it was amazing and my camera died after 2 pics.

We did around 436 miles to just outside of salt lake city.

We camped in the Wasatch mountains. One word COLD. Again we camped at over 10,000ft We woke up and the thermometer said 23 degrees and that was after sun up. We did stay mostly warm, the bikes took a bit of convincing to get started in the morning.

Well pretty boring but we are headed into the mountains again and then towards Yellowstone. Hopefully my passion/motivation for writing interesting posts will come back sooner then later. Disconnected.

  1. Hey Chad, Man I'm so sorry that I wasn't in Colorado Springs when you all came through. I would have loved to do the Incline again with all of you.
